Adams 14 provides choices for students with diverse interests. Music, art, physical education, International Baccalaureate, enhanced technology, and career and technical education are some of the many programs Adams 14 offers its students. In Adams 14, our focus is to provide leading-edge learning opportunities to fully prepare students for life in the 21st Century. We have established high expectations for the services our District provides, its teaching team, its school leaders and administrators, and its students. Our priority is to instill all of our students with the skills to be lifelong learners. Adams 14 welcomes students to 13 schools: two preschools, seven elementary schools, two middle schools and two high schools.

Most parents do not consider their options for schooling until their child is about three years old. That's the time when most parents start to think about preschool, kindergarten, and an educational path for their child. In Adams 14, we think learning begins well before preschool. As parents, you have the power to build a strong foundation for school success for your child. Our goal is to build a lasting partnership with parents, students and the community - a partnership that will result in an excellent education for your child.

Adams 14 Preschool - Enrolling in Preschool (3 and 4 year olds)

To enroll a child in preschool, parents or guardians must first make an appointment through Adams 14 Child Find for a preschool screening.  After your child attends a preschool screening, he or she may be eligible for one of the limited preschool spots in an Adams 14 preschool classrooms. Placement in a preschool class is not guaranteed, though we are able to place most preschool-aged children.

We urge parents to call Child Find at 720.322.8130 at any time during the school year to make an appointment for a preschool screening, especially in April and May. Preschool screenings in April and May lead to filling most of our preschool spots for August of the next school year. Therefore it is important for parents who want their child in preschool to contact us early.

Adams 14 studentsTeacher-student-family relationships are critical to your child's success. We understand that families are busy today, but your involvement in your child's education is extremely important. When parents are involved in children's learning, at school and at home, schools work better and students learn more.

Three easy things you can do as a parent:

  • Read with your child each day;
  • Limit TV/video game/computer time to under two hours daily;
  • Get involved in your child's education through parent groups, volunteering, and participating in parent-teacher conferences.
