Congrats to our Principal of the Year!

Congratulations, Mrs. Dolezal!

Dear Adams 14 Team,

I am proud to share that Loydene Dolezal, Principal of Alsup Elementary, has been named the 2026 Adams 14 Principal of the Year.

This recognition reflects the significant academic progress and strong leadership demonstrated at Alsup Elementary under Principal Dolezal’s direction. Over the past two years, the school has shown measurable improvement within the Colorado School Performance Framework, moving from Turnaround into an Improvement Plan classification and building clear momentum toward Performance.

Principal Dolezal’s leadership is grounded in a disciplined focus on what matters most for student success. Alsup has established strong instructional systems, including structured data cycles, standards-aligned instruction, and targeted interventions that ensure students receive timely and effective support. Staff consistently use evidence of learning to adjust instruction, and there is a shared commitment to high expectations and continuous growth.

Equally important, Principal Dolezal has cultivated a culture of collaboration and teamwork that strengthens the entire school community. She models the expectations she sets for others through her visibility and engagement—whether it’s being present at daily routines like car duty or actively listening to staff, students, and families. This consistent presence and responsiveness have built trust and reinforced a shared commitment to student success.

Principal Dolezal’s work exemplifies the intent of this recognition—driving measurable academic outcomes, advancing equity, and building systems that ensure long-term success for students.

Please join me in congratulating Principal Dolezal on this well-deserved honor.

Sincerely,

Dr. Karla Loria, Superintendent of Schools
