About Ms. Ehly

Hello and thanks for taking the time to read more about me! My Masters degree in Music Education as well as three levels of Orff-Schulwerk Certification and DPS ELA Certification have prepared me to create lessons that involve total, active music making incorporating speech, singing, movement, and instrument playing in a creative environment that can be accessed by culturally and linguistically diverse learners. I have a keen interest in teaching with technology and the integration of 21st century skills into my music classroom. I have led whole group movement for up to 120 students at a time and successfully produced and led student dramatic performances at all grade levels.

In my career, I have demonstrated educational leadership at the school, district and state levels. My service on the school Leadership, Scheduling, Character Education, Arts Integration, and Collaborative School Committee teams brought a valuable perspective to some tough decision making processes and allowed me to be an advocate for the arts.  I have presented professional development sessions on “Infusing Music Technology into the Orff Classroom” in DPS and at CMEA, the state music educator’s conference. I have been a DPS District Arts Teacher Leader and have presented on a variety of topics for professional development as well as mentored new teachers and pre-service teachers.
